Dr SAMIR YOUSSIF DVM

Dr. Samir Youssif, DVM, is a highly experienced and compassionate veterinarian who brings over two decades of dedicated service to the Kingston community.

Dr. Youssif earned his Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in 2003. His professional journey led him to Canada in 2017, where he quickly became enrolled in the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association in 2018 and secured his veterinary license from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario.

He is passionate about all aspects of small animal medicine, with a strong clinical focus on soft tissue surgeries (including spay and neuter procedures), infectious diseases, managing challenging skin, musculoskeletal diseases, Canine anxiety/behaviour, clinical pathology and pain management. Demonstrating his commitment to animal welfare on a global scale, Dr. Youssif has also volunteered his surgical expertise for spay and neuter missions in Costa Rica.

Since he arrived in Canada, Dr. Youssif has practiced across various Ontario regions, from Ottawa to Wingham. After falling in love with the Kingston area, he moved from Montreal and has been a fixture in the Kingston veterinary community for over three years. He now takes the next major step in his career by opening his own private practice alongside his business partner, Dr. Mina Abdelmeseh, offering a new space for high-quality care.

Dr. Youssif lives in Kingston with his lovely wife and their three wonderful children. In his free time, he prioritizes family time, along with enjoying reading, listening to music, and swimming. He is also dedicated to his faith and community, volunteering at the St-Mena Coptic Orthodox Church. Dr. Youssif carries a lifelong love for pets, which was first inspired by his own Golden Retriever, Besco, from his home in Egypt.
